We're thrilled to announce that Jay Robert "Bob" Harmon of Eggshell Light Company @eggshelllightingcompany joined us as the show's Lighting Director! He's provided lighting for Hawai‘i's largest concerts and events for almost 50 years and will be bringing his signature epic look to the production.

Because of the large scale of lighting we'll be providing, don't be shy about buying the seats high up and in the back - we're designing the show so as many seats as possible will have an immersive and magical experience!

Sadly due to scheduled resurfacing work Mark's Garage will be closed over the weekend. The theatre recommends these other parking options:

Hello, Hawaii Floyd fans! Friends have been noticing increased amounts of ticket reseller ads for our Hawaii Theatre show on July 18 - they've been showing up in Google searches and on Facebook feeds. Beware of buying tickets from anywhere other than directly from Hawaii Theatre at @hawaiitheatre - not only will you be paying a markup of up to 200% or more on the ticket price, but you may be buying an invalid ticket (reseller sites are showing very inaccurate ticket seating charts). You can buy tickets from this official link:

https://hawaiitheatre.com/dsob

Official ticket links for all of our events can always be found on our Web site at darksideofthebeach.com. You can get to this site via the link in our Instagram profile.

We support an upcoming piece of local legislation called the "Bruno Mars Act" that prohibits ticket scalping in Hawaii. This bill was last advanced in March 2026, and if you'd like more details, visit:

https://www.billtrack50.com/billdetail/1948604

We've been rehearsing and working hard to put together a great sounding and looking show for you, with elements that we haven't seen in any other Pink Floyd tribute performance so far!

Finally, we'd like to give a shoutout to Care Waialua farm, where we've played twice at. They'll be holding their 4th Annual Pakalolo Cup from May 22 to 25, with 16 musical acts over three days. We won't be playing there this year, but we know our fans share similar interests, so if you'd like more details visit their Instagram page at @care_waialua.
Announcing our first outer island show! We'll be debuting our new stage production at the Kaua‘i Community College Performing Arts Center on June 20 from 5pm to 7pm. Doors open at 4pm.

This time we'll be making use of theatre sound, showing our visuals on a 20-foot wide screen in 4K alongside stage lighting. Ginai @ginaimusic will be our special guest vocalist, and Maureen Baker @klymaxxmusic is joining us on keyboards.

We'd like to thank Jason Hanley and the folks at Care Waialua Farm (@care_waialua) for making our January 31st event so special! Because we were the first act to play at this brand-new North Shore venue (The Greenhouse), we were able to work with him to design the stage and layout to our audiovisual specifications. Our very first gig was at the farm a year ago, and we look forward to more events there in the future!

Thanks to our new sound engineer Trevon Rhoads (@bluenotehawaii), who connected four PAs to provide quadraphonic stereo sound to the audience, which blew a few minds. The Greenhouse - an actual greenhouse - is a massive space and we did our best to fill it with immersive audio.

Thanks to our esteemed musical guests Maureen Baker (@klymaxxmusic) who joined us on keyboards as well as Ginai (@ginaimusic), who will also be performing with us at our Hawaii Theatre show on July 18th. Our full-spectrum Floyd experience is expanding!

And finally thanks to Nikki Parlow (@nikki.parlow) of Nikki Parlow Events for creating a chill zone with comfy and stylish furniture despite being in the middle of a very busy events season.

Meet The Band

Dark Side of the Beach brings together some of Hawaii’s most well-versed and talented musicians, with decades of combined performance experience and a shared love for the music of Pink Floyd.

Lead Guitar and Vocals

Rob Bruggemann

Rob has been diligently studying and replicating the unique sound and guitar style of David Gilmour for many years and previously was a founding member of the local Floyd tribute Echoes of Floyd, performing at the Hard Rock Café and many other Oahu venues.

Bass and Vocals

Brant Swigart

Brant is a prolific and popular singer/songwriter who performs regularly as a soloist or as part of a duo (with Michael Shapiro) at bars, clubs, and restaurants throughout Kailua and Honolulu. He is a former member of the Beatles tribute Rubber Soul and his original music can be found at brantswigartmusic.com.

Guitar and Vocals

Michael Shapiro

Michael plays rhythm, lead, and slide guitar and belts out lead and backup vocals. As a former member of the band Paradise Waits (with Stephen Inglis) and other Grateful Dead tributes including Hardly Strictly Jerry, Shapiro is at ease with acoustic and electric performance. In addition to his jam band roots, Michael’s been playing Pink Floyd songs for years.

Keyboard and Vocals

Alan Okuye

A performer, composer, arranger and private piano teacher, Alan’s credits include work with international recording artists like Rickie Lee Jones, Bobby Womack, and Colin Hay of Men at Work, along with some of Hawaii’s most popular entertainers like Ginai, Stephen Inglis and many others.

Saxophone and Vocals

Ted Gauthier

Ted is a shredding sax player and singer with more than 45 years of professional performance experience who started singing gospel songs in church at age four and earned a college music scholarship for big band jazz. A multi-instrumentalist, Ted is also adept at guitar, bass, and percussion.

Drums

Visuals and Lights

Kevin Hughes

Kevin runs the band’s video wall and lights in real time, creating intricate visual textures to complement the music and enhance the audience experience. Each performance is unique to every show, and he’s designed custom light shows and visuals for the bands The Other Ones and Hardly Strictly Jerry.

Sound Engineer

Trevon Rhoades

Trevon runs the band’s sound gear for a great mix out front and on stage. A graduate of The Recording Workshop in Ohio, Trevon is currently the lead tech at Blue Note Hawai‘i.
